About Dave Shepard

Dave Shepard was born in Concord New Hampshire, lived in St. Petersburg, Fl for many years and currently resides in Brooksville, Florida. He performs 3-5 shows weekly as: the solo act "The Dave Shepard Show, with his band "The Dave Shepard Band", "Dave and Kenny Duo" and as the Blues Riders Band. He is also a music instructor, author and the owner of the Rock'n'Blues Academy LLC.

Dave is a renown Florida guitarist who majored in trombone and guitar at St. Pete College and music/religious studies at USF Tampa. He has also studied trumpet, flute, voice and piano. He performs music in many styles from Classical and jazz to Southern Rock, country and the Blues!

As a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and singer, Dave's high energy shows have wowed audiences throughout Florida, New England, New York, Philadelphia, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. His original songs have been broadcast to 32 countries around the world on TV and radio. He was named the instrumentalist of the year by the North American Country Music Association and the band he performed with, "Unbroken", won gospel band of the year. Dave has conducted symphony orchestras, arranged music for broadway shows and opened for well known acts such as Pat Travers and the Marshall Tucker Band. He has also worked as a stage hand for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Prince, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. He has recorded 5 CD's, written 250 songs and hosted a children's TV show.
